Milliken Website Adds New Cost Savings Calculator

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (June 29, 2006) – Milliken's Napery Fabric Division added a new cost savings tool to its website (www.millikentablelinens.com) today. The Milliken Table Linens Savings Calculator is a web-based tool that allows linen customers to realize the energy and cost savings associated with using Milliken's Signature Plus Table Linens or Project Green-treated linens, which can be processed at 120 degrees.

In order to accurately calculate total annual processing savings over imported polyester, the calculator allows customers to input six factors specific to their business: number of napkins processed per week, number of tablecloths processed per week, current cost per dozen napkins, current cost per dozen tablecloths, current napkin reject rate and machine size.

According to Rick Jarrard, general manager of Milliken's Napery Business, the potential savings from combined energy reduction and stain reject improvement with Milliken's Signature Plus or Project Green is between nine and 32 percent.
